Does anyone else think that Days of Our Lives needs a new headwriter?
I mean just this month, they've fired Mark Hapka (Nathan) for speaking out for his role, Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) and Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) have decided to leave. In his chat, Mark said that he rarely ever saw Dena Higley (the head writer) and she's going to be the demise of the show if they let her continue on. Just look at these past few months, it's been Sami, Sami, Sami! They've ruined Stephanie's character, and married Philip to someone who is not a good match for him. The only thing I like is Maggie and Victor's scenes and Vivian's scenes with Gus, but I hate that Sami is on nearly everyday. I think it's time for a new headwriter. What do you all think?
Those of us who have watched Days for decades have enjoyed many memorable story lines that were fantastic. The last 7-8 years have been awful and gone downhill from there. Anytime anyone complains we hear budget which has been a problem but they could still do better than they have. I can't imagine anyone filling in Phillip's role, hard to imagine. I used to like Sami but this hogwash with her bed hopping and being so man hungry has really turned most of us off. I got to say the first week of Viv in the crypt was great and now on the island is good if she gets off soon. Got to love Maggie and Vic scenes.
