It's good, but it doesn't have much technique. Basically, what you're doing is making a team that can beat others with brute force. This is good for standard gameplay - no tournamenting.
In a pokemon wifi tournament, out of 100 people, you'd be in the top 80. Seriously, technique is also very important to a team. For Example:
Charizard : Adamant, Leftovers
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Belly Drum
Substitute
Basically, you Substitute and then Belly Drum to max out your attack. Since your HP will be in the orange by now, you activate Charizard's Blaze ability, which makes all fire moves increase a bit.
Your Charizard is now the Hulk with it's Firepunch
(since Charizard can now learn dragon dance (B&W), that opens up an entirely new move set)
