I heard on the radio today about some of the problems the police incounter with regard to the influx of so many people. How on earth are they suppossed to cope? They have to be PC with people who have no idea of what PC is unless they are sueing the police! I sometimes wonder if I live in the real world or if this is all a bad dream that I might wake up from sometime. 100 langueges in Peterborough? it's hardly inner city is it? Another thing that came up was the amount of 'new people'? I live in Brighton and it's hard to walk down any street and hear a British accent. Can somebody be honest and just tell us how many 'new people' we have here. The police suffer, the schools suffer, the hospitals suffer. I could go on and on................ Truth please?
I left Peterborough 7 years ago just as the immigrants were arriving, they were always in Tesco's trying to change food vouchers for cigarettes and booze and used to get annoyed when they wouldn't do it, I dread to think what it is like there now, many thousand more have arrived there since then, I have been told there is no housing left at all now.
I come from Margate and went back last year for a family wedding, we couldn't find a Hotel to stay in as they are all now hostels for the immigrants, we ended up staying about 10 miles away, I hardly heard anyone speaking English all the time I was there.
I am now in Scotland and my kids go to a very popular school and there is a long waiting list but the immigrants jump that list, since the term began about 10 new comers have been allowed in to the anger of the ones on the waiting list, my daughter says that none of them can speak any English at all and have to have special lessons away from the rest of them, how much is all of this costing us?
