why do you HAVE to where post earrings for 6 months after you get them pierced?
At least that's what the piercing girl told me.
because the piercing stud is thicker than a normal stud or a hoop in the part that goes in your ear. It's to make sure the hole heals thick enough for you to put any kind of earring in it later. Also if you try to change them before you heal it could close up, even in a matter or seconds (it's happened to me). Save yourself the pain and grief and just wear the hoops, the piercer knows what she is talking about.
